If it fits, it ships!

Shipping is such a big part of our mission at Chocosphere that we have been looking for ways to save you shipping money, so that you have more for chocolate.   We have been doing some Facebook  specials where you could ship in the warmer months for $10.00 and in the winter for $7.50.  You liked it so much that we decided to make it a routine option at the shipping section of the check out page.  Here are all the details and they are also available on our shipping information page and in the shipping section of check out when you place an order.


Important Notes for ‘If it fits, it ships!’ Shipping

The contents of the shipment must be physically small enough to ship in one of the special postal-rate boxes or padded envelopes. It is possible that we may send the package by ground, or select another shipping method, if that is the least expensive option. Ground shipping can take up to a week, depending on the shipping location. If it doesn't fit, we will contact you with information on other shipping options that will incur extra cost, and if we cannot reach you promptly it may delay processing of your order.

We will include styro and gel ice at no extra charge if we feel it is needed and it fits.

We will pack into the smallest box that your chocolate will fit in, to minimize our shipping cost and if there is chocolate breakage (with wrappers remaining intact), you have to be okay with it. After all, you have to break it to eat it.

This option is only available on orders shipped to mainland U.S., Hawaii, and Alaska addresses. Not available for the Chocolate Clubs. Also, this offer can not be combined with any other offers.

‘If it fits, it ships’ shipping is only available on orders placed online via the Chocosphere web site by the customer.


Domori

Have you noticed that we have Domori couverture?  It is  formulated for chefs and chocolatiers with soy so that it flows better.  Their bars and fancy products do not have soy, but chefs wanted it so they gave what was needed for a beautiful and delicious product.  There are single origins in varying percentages in a drop format and there are also small blocks of criollo of different bean genetics. If you have not tried Domori, you are really missing something.

 


Valentine's Day

It's coming fast and we have some wonderful gifts that you can give your sweetheart. Don't forget the Michel Cluizel hearts.  They come both milk and dark and the dark ones are made with Los Ancones.  They are so delicious and we wish we could carry them year round, but are only available for a short time and then they will be gone.  Get some while you can!

Recipe Corner

Chocolate Pecan Brownies

Makes about 16 brownies....

 

3/4 C. all purpose flour

1/4 t. baking soda

3/4 C. sugar

1/3 C butter

2 T water

8 ounces  70% chocolate

4 ounces semi sweet chips

1 t. vanilla (try the La Vencadora)

2 large eggs

1/2 C. chopped pecans

 

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.  Grease a 9 in. square baking pan.  Coat with cocoa powder for an extra chocolate punch and it will be pretty and brown.  In a small bowl sift together flour and baking soda.  In a small sauce pan, combine sugar, butter, and water.    Bring to a boil over medium heat and  remove immediately from the stove.  Stir in 1 cup of 70% bittersweet chocolate and vanilla extract until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth.  Transfer mixture to a medium bowl.   Be sure to cool completely or the brownies will be heavy and tough.  Stir in eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition.  Gradually stir in flour mixture until smooth.  Stir remaining chocolate chips and nuts into batter.  Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, 30 minutes.  Transfer pan to a wire rack to cool completely.  Cut into squares.
