We are trying to make gifts that are packaged by Chocosphere easier to select and a better value. Our new "theme" collections have a description of the products that are in the basket or box, and the cost of the wrapping in most cases will be much lower. We have always had great value for our gifts but now it’s going to be amazing. For example, the new Italian baskets describe the brands and number of bars in each of the small, medium or large selections. These Italian baskets have only chocolate bars in them. We will be adding French and some other maker origins soon.
Also we will have an “everything” basket that will have a few bars, a sauce, some hot chocolate and some filled chocolates. If you prefer, you will still be able to select from our classic-style baskets and boxes. This means more choices for you and a better value.
You can always add some instructions for the color or theme of the basket in the "Comments" section at checkout. Remember, greeting cards are free, and you have the option to add one to your order at checkout.
You can see our new Gift Packaging offerings under “Gifts and Selections” at the top brown selector bar where we have three new categories: Chocosphere Theme Collections, Creative Gift Packaging, and Classic Gift Baskets.
Starting Thursday November 27th at 12:01 am and ending Monday December 1st at 11:59 pm PST and while supplies last (no "rain checks"), you will have an opportunity to stock up on selected chocolate bars at a 20% discount from the single bar price. At this time Valrhona is the clear choice for this discount based on a Facebook survey and they will be on the discount. Other brands may be added. Additionally, you will be able to select “If it fits, it ships” and ship your discounted chocolate bars for only $10.00. Please read the restrictions and rules carefully when placing your order for using this inexpensive shipping option. If you buy more that what will fit in one of the eligible boxes, we may call you for an additional $10.00. But most of the time Chocospherian Ooompah Loompahs can fit all your chocolate bars into one special rate box.
We’re so glad to have this Utah chocolate maker back on our site. Art Pollard of Amano makes a selection of single origin chocolate bars that are out of this world. If you haven’t tried them, do it now.
We are trying to work with our International customers to feed their chocolate cravings. I can’t stand it when people beg. We will do our best to get the chocolate to you wherever we are allowed to ship, after the holidays. Yes, there are countries where we can’t legally ship chocolate. Chocolate must be a controlled substance in some places.
Oatmeal with cacao powder - (breakfast of superheroes):
Serves 2
¾ cup oatmeal
1 ¼ cup water
1 ½ Tbsp dutched cacao powder
10 dried apricots cut into cubes
2 T flaked coconut (optional)
Combine all ingredients in a small sauce pan. Bring to a boil stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low and stir one to two minutes. It should have a thick consistency. Turn off heat and serve. Otherwise you might start a fire.
